A Day in the City by the Bay
Some love stories deserve a bigger backdrop. In February 2026, two months before their April wedding, Hareen and Kash invited us to San Francisco for their engagement session. My videographer and I flew out from Tampa and spent a full day exploring the city with them, capturing photos and film from marble rotundas to colorful neighborhood streets to the Golden Gate at golden hour.
The result is a San Francisco engagement session that feels like a love letter to the city and to each other.
San Francisco City Hall: Timeless Elegance
We started inside San Francisco City Hall, where the grand staircase, arched corridors and warm glowing lanterns set an elegant tone. Hareen looked radiant in a flowing blue saree beside Kash in a classic ivory kurta. Their traditional attire against the Beaux-Arts architecture felt both regal and romantic, a quiet preview of the celebration to come.

City Streets: Effortless and Candid
Next we swapped the formalwear for cozy layers and headed into the city’s streets. A passing streetcar, pastel row houses, blooming trees and classic front stoops gave us that unmistakable San Francisco charm. This part of the day was all about laughter, easy hugs and the in-between moments that make a couple feel like themselves.

The Golden Gate Bridge: An Iconic Finale
No San Francisco engagement session is complete without the Golden Gate Bridge. With the bay stretching out behind them and the bridge’s red towers framing every shot, Hareen and Kash brought a dressier evening look that matched the view.

Palace of Fine Arts: Romance in the Golden Light
We finished at the Palace of Fine Arts, where the towering colonnades, the rotunda and the lagoon glowed in the late-day sun. Twirls, laughter and soft light made the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.

Watch Their Engagement Film
Our team captures both photo and film, so every laugh, glance and gust of bay breeze lives on in motion as well as in print.
Planning a Destination Engagement Session
Thinking of taking your engagement photos somewhere iconic? Here’s what we’ve learned from sessions like this one:
- Plan a route, not just a spot. Grouping locations by neighborhood keeps travel time low and gives you more variety in one day.
- Bring two or more looks. Pairing traditional attire with casual or evening outfits tells a fuller story and suits each backdrop.
- Chase the light. Save your most iconic location for the late afternoon, when the light is warm and flattering.
- Check location rules early. Some landmarks and public buildings have their own photography policies or busy hours, so confirm ahead of time.
- Pack for the weather. Coastal cities can be cool and windy even when the sun is out. Layers and comfortable shoes between locations make a big difference.
- Book photo and film together. One team covering both means a seamless experience and a gallery and film that feel cohesive.
